Naming a blog is hard. Really hard. I didn't know where to start so I just started typing some random phrases. One of those phrases was Singing in the Rain because it is one of my favorite movies. More importantly, it is my favorite thing to do. Except, I don't sing in the rain; I sing in the shower. A lot. It is therapy for me. After tinkering for a couple minutes, I landed on Songs from the Shower and I'm quite happy with it.
I've settled on a name. What about a theme? Honestly, I don't know. My interests, though few, run the gamut. If I follow through (and I admit, following through is not an interest of mine), I'm sure this blog will end up being a collection of things I find funny, amusing, or what I feel is general interest. Be warned, only two in ten find my jokes as funny as I do. If two out of ten find my blog enjoyable, I'll consider my job done.

Welcome to the blog world. I want you to know that I have heard you sing (not in the shower) and you are quite good. You should feel free to sing in the rain anytime you want.
What is werid, though, is that I too was singing a song from Hairspray in the shower today, "Big, Blonde and Beautiful" because I am all of those things except blonde.

you know, i'm reading this book, and as the narrator's traveling through italy looking for spiritual healing and excellent pasta she meets this guy (guido, or giancarlo, or someone g) who tells her each city has a WORD. rome's word is SEX. new york's word is ACHIEVE. stockholm's word, some swede says sadly, is CONFORM. your word is absolutely SONGS FROM THE SHOWER. sweet.

maaann...i just typed up a sweet response but because i had no gmail account, they wiped it out. anyway - you are my current inspriation. after reading your 'songs from the shower' title all the way through to the last comment by r-r, i was trying to think of a sweet song i had just recently belted out in the shower. though i sadly realized i cannot remember the last time i sang in the shower. how incredibly stupid of me to not take advantage of my private booth time to practice the next jjc song...incredibly stupid indeed. as i have said, you are my inspiration, and i can't wait to hear more from your blog...and sing proudly in my own rain.
